As usual, the internet has provided false hope.
A few weeks ago, stories made the rounds that Anchorman star Will Ferrell was keen on making a sequel to that film and could possibly be putting his next projects on hold so he and writer-director Adam McKay could fast track it.
Of course this turned out to be a bunch of crap.
Ferrell states in an interview with Comingsoon.net that he will not be a part of sequels for Anchorman, Elf, Old School or Talladega Nights. In regards to Anchorman and Talladega Nights, Ferrell said "I don't think Adam and I are so excited about sequels. We'd rather just keep thinking of original ideas."
